DIFFERENT POLICIES OF INDIA

India is a country known for its diverse population, rich history, and complex political landscape. The needs and challenges of its people. Here are some examples of different policies that have shaped India's history:-

  1. Green Revolution:- In the 1960s, India faced severe food shortages due to a rapidly growing population. To address this problem, the government launched the Green Revolution, a series of agricultural reforms that aimed to increase food production through the use of high-yielding crops, modern machinery, and better irrigation. The program was a great success and helped India become self-sufficient in food production.

  2. Reservation Policy:- India has a long history of social inequality and discrimination. To promote social justice and uplift marginalized communities, the government introduced a reservation policy in education and employment. Under this policy, a certain percentage of seats in educational institutions and jobs are reserved for people from backward castes and tribes.

  3. National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA):- In 2005, the government introduced the NREGA to provide employment opportunities to rural households. The program guarantees 100 days of wage employment to every household that demands it. The NREGA has helped alleviate poverty and improve the living conditions of many rural communities.

  4. Make in India:- In 2014, the government launched the Make in India initiative to promote domestic manufacturing and attract foreign investment. The program aims to transform India into a global manufacturing hub and create millions of jobs in the process.

  5. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan:- In 2014, the government launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a campaign to clean up the streets, roads, and infrastructure of Indian cities and towns. The program aims to improve public health and hygiene and create a cleaner environment for future generations.
